Canmore’s Picturesque Patios

Patio season is among us!

When you are surrounded by a sight as beautiful as the Canadian Rockies, how could you not take advantage of outdoor dining? Whether you’re a Canmore local, or just making a pit stop in town, there will be no shortage of amazing patios to try this summer.

One of the more popular patio destinations is Stirling Grill inside the Malcolm Hotel, which has a specific menu for the summer season. Their Creekside Patio not only has incredible views of the Three Sisters mountain peaks, but because of its close proximity to Spring Creek, you will get views of the water as well.

To really feel enraptured by Canadian culture, try the patio at the Iron Goat. The cabin-like style of this restaurant’s architecture, along with the amazing views of the Rockies from the patio, will leave you feeling like a true Canadian, especially if you order one of their delicious dishes.

Mount Engadine Lodge is found just south of town, in Spray Valley Provincial Park, making it the perfect destination for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Overnight guests are provided complimentary meals in the dining lodge, and people making their way through the area can reserve brunch, afternoon tea, or dinner. The lodge is surrounded by the beloved nature of the Canadian Rockies, making for stunning, serene views from their dining patio.

The local golfers in town know about SandTraps, located at the Canmore Golf & Curling Club; however, their patio is not only for golf enthusiasts. With views of the beautiful golf course, including the picturesque water features, this patio creates an ambiance that exudes the feeling of summer.
