The luxurious mountain lodge, Mount Engadine is a foodie’s dream. It sits tucked away in Spray Valley Provincial Park, nestled in an alpine valley next to its namesake peak.

This hidden gem offers a unique contrast between the all-inclusive creature comforts of a modern ski resort, and complete access to the wild and dynamic backcountry of Kananaskis. Stop by for some world-renowned backcountry activities, yoga retreats or a delicious bite to eat. Drop in for a hearty meal or start your Sunday the right way with their Sunday Brunch. Their famous Afternoon Tea will delight the senses. And if time permits, try one of their speciality cocktails!

A recent addition to their culinary program, Soup Saturdays are a fall and winter special. They occur every weekend from 2-5 pm, during Mount Engadine’s legendary Afternoon Tea. For just $10, visitors are offered a piping hot, seasonal, homemade soup with sun-dried tomato and olive focaccia. Flavours include original recipes from Chef Anthony Glasgow, such as Thai Pumpkin and Hungarian Wild Mushroom. It’s the perfect way to start or end your backcountry adventure in the snow!

Great views, great food and a great atmosphere make Mount Engadine Lodge a foodie's dream!

Sunday Brunch is served between 10 am and 1 pm. It is so popular that reservations are a must. Similar to Soup Saturdays, the menu is seasonal and changes on a weekly basis; however, you can always expect the tempting classics. Try Banana and Almond Pancakes as well as Smoked Salmon Benny with Canmore-cured Valbella Bacon. Tea and coffee are included (or juice for the kids).

The deep-rooted tradition of Afternoon Tea is served daily from 2-5 pm. It’s a classic tea service that includes a decadent charcuterie board alongside a selection of fruit, choice local meats, refined cheeses and freshly baked goods. Coffee from local Mountain Blends Coffee Roasters is available along with a wide variety of tea from Banff Tea Co.

New this year, Mount Engadine offers seasonal signature cocktails, including the Mount Engadine Mountain Caesar. Unlike your regular Albertan Caesar, this delectable, rustic version is made with chili infused vodka from local Park Distillery. This gives it a Rocky Mountain kick to tingle your taste buds and awaken the senses. The cocktail menu also features the Hikers Hot Chocolate and Climbers Coffee, made with Baileys and whipped cream. Looking for a classic? Try the Hot Toddy made with Buffalo Trace bourbon, lemon juice and honey. The Bramble is something unique. This refreshing creation is made with Chambord and lemon, poured over ice and stirred with simple syrup.

During the Christmas season, Mount Engadine Lodge offers a warm welcome to visitors. Their hearty Rocky Mountain style menu includes pheasant breast coq au vin, free-range, organic turkeys, and roasted elk with wild mushrooms and apples. Also try homemade plum pudding and rainbow trout. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life! Enjoy delicious food at this quiet, picturesque lodge in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
